Fax Pro · Legal
Terms of Use
Effective 2 September 2026
Fax Pro is operated by Seem Social Inc., a corporation established in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. These terms are the agreement between you and us for your use of the app. By creating an account or sending a fax, you accept them.
The service
Fax Pro sends a PDF from your device to a fax number you enter. It sends faxes only; it does not receive them.
Size, page and destination limits are shown in the app and may change. The price of a fax is shown before you send it.
Credits and payment
Sending costs credits, which you buy inside the app through Apple or Google. They process the payment, set the price in your currency and handle any refund of that purchase under their own policies. We do not see your payment details and do not sell credits directly.
Credits have no cash value, are not refundable by us, and cannot be exchanged for money or transferred to another account. Credits remaining on an account are forfeited if the account is closed or deleted.
A credit is used once transmission of your fax has begun. If a fax does not go through, we normally return the credit to your balance automatically.
You are responsible for the number
A fax cannot be recalled. Once it reaches a machine the document has been delivered to whoever owns that line, and neither you nor we can undo it.
You are responsible for confirming that the number you enter is correct and belongs to the person you intend to reach. We are not responsible for a document reaching the wrong recipient.
Acceptable use
You may not use Fax Pro to send unsolicited advertising, anything unlawful, anything that infringes another person's rights, or anything intended to harass, threaten or defraud. Sending unsolicited commercial faxes is restricted by law in Canada and in many other countries.
Fax Pro is not intended for medical records or other health information, and must not be used to send them.
You may not automate, resell or redistribute the service, work around its limits, or use it to send on behalf of others as a service of your own.
We may suspend or close any account at our discretion, including where we believe these terms have been broken, and we may disclose information where we are lawfully required to.
No guarantee
The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows.
Fax travels over telephone networks we do not control. We do not guarantee that a fax will arrive, that it will arrive within any period, or that a receiving machine will reproduce it as it appeared on your screen; fax transmission is black and white and low resolution.
Records in the app report what the network told us. They are not proof of receipt.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything connected with Fax Pro is limited to the amount you paid us for credits in the twelve months before the claim.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost business, or the consequences of a document arriving late, not arriving, or arriving at the wrong number.
You are responsible for what you send, and for any claim brought against us arising from your use of the service or the documents you transmit.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including under consumer protection legislation that applies to you.
Your account, changes and governing law
An account is created when you sign in with Google or Apple, and you are responsible for the security of the account you sign in with. You may delete your account at any time in the app; deletion is permanent.
We may change these terms or the service. If a change materially affects you, the app will show it before you next send, and continuing to use Fax Pro means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and disputes go to the courts of Ontario, unless consumer protection law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Questions: cs@seem.social.
